Set Properties

 

Forms contains various control fields like text box, combo box, radio button, date control etc.

In some situation you may want to make some control field read only, some may be invisible, some may be editable.

Prescient Author allows you to set properties of the controls field and also allows you to set the heading for the report or forms.

You can set properties for master form and master detail forms.To set properties for master form, open master form and click on Set Properties button.

To set properties for master detail form, open master detail  form and click on Set Properties button.

Following are the steps to set properties of the control fields

  1. Specify the name of the file in the File Name text box.
  2. Specify the header of the file in the File Header text box.
  3. To set the control visibility of the control, double click on control field name and select one of the property among three radio buttons i.e. Read Only, Invisible, Editable and click on Update button.
  4. Click on Ok Button.
