Creating and updating Dashboards
Following are steps to create a Dashboards
Right click on Dashboards option in Module Section
of Project Tree. Select Create Dashboards option.
OR click on the Dashboards button
on the Prescient Author Navigator dialog box.
- Specify the name of Dashboards in Name text box.
The name could be alphanumeric. It should not have spaces in
between.
- You can specify a header to the dashboard in Header text
box. This header can be different from the name of the Multi Reports .
- You can set the layout for the filters on the Dashboards by
selecting Single Column or Two Column radio
button. The default layout is two column.
- Dashboards can have filters which are common for all the
entities on multi reports. To add the filter you have to add reference field
to the Dashboards and then set the properties for that control field. You
can add reference field by clicking on Reference Field
button. You can set properties of the reference field by clicking on
Set Filters button.(Refer to Adding and Updating Reference
Field and Manage
From Controls) .
- You can give links on the Dashboards by clicking on Link
Controls button. (Refer to Adding and Updating Link
Controls ).
- To give links on the Dashboards you have to add rows and columns to the
grid of Dashboards . To add rows and columns on the Dashboards click on
Add button. (Refer to Add Grid to the dashboard).
- You can remove the Dashboards grid by clicking on
Remove button. When you remove the grid, all the data in the
grid rows and columns is removed automatically.
- After you add the grid to the Dashboards , a tree will be created in the
Dashboards View Layout area. Now you can add
links to each row in the Dashboards .
- To add link to the row you can click on Add
Data button or you can right click on the row to which you want to
add the link and select Add Data. (Refer to Add Data to Dashboards)
- You can remove the data assigned to the cell by clicking
on Remove Data button or you can right click on the row and
select Erase Column Data.
- You can insert a row to the existing tree by clicking on
Insert Row button or you can right click on the row and
select Insert Row Before. The row will be inserted before the
selected row.
- You can insert a column to the existing tree by
clicking on Insert Column button or you can right click on
the row and select Insert Column Before.
- You can add a table inside the row by selecting the row and clicking on
Add Table button or you can right click on the row and select
Insert Table (Refer to Add Grid to the
dashboard) .
- You can move the table inside the row to the other row by clicking on
Set Parent button. (Refer to Move Table).
- You can add the row at the end. For this you need to select the table and
click on Add Row button or you can right click on the
table and select Append Row.
- You can add the row at the end. For this you need to select the table and
click on Add Column button or you can right click on the row
and select Append Column.
- You can delete the rows and column to which data is not assigned by
selecting the table and click on Remove Empty Rows or Remove Empty
Columns button or you can right click on the table and select
Remove Empty Rows or Remove Empty Columns
.
- Click on Ok button .
