Creating and Updating Roles

 

Prescient Author allows you to create roles to ensure that only authorized user will get access to the data.

To create roles click on Roles menu from main menu and select Manage Roles option.

Following are steps to create roles

  1. Specify the name of the role in  Roles  text box.
  2. You can assign dashboard page to the role at the time of creating role or even after creation of role.If you want to assign DashBoardPage select the module from Module Combo Boxselect the dashboard page from Dashboard Page combo box. Click on Assign button.
  3. To remove assigned dashboard you can click on Remove button.
  4. Prescient Author give you facility to activate/deactivate the role. To activate/deactivate role, double click on Role name and click on Activate/deactivate button.
  5. Click on Add button.
  6. Click on Ok button.
  7. You can update the roles by double clicking on the role name. modify the role and click on Update button.
