Creating and updating Menus

 

Menus are used to navigate through various forms, reports etc.

Prescient Author allows you create menus,assign file to the menu and assign menus to the file.

Following are steps to create menus

  1. Right click on Menus option in Module Section of Project Tree. Select Create Menu option. OR click on the Menus button on the Prescient Author Navigator dialog box.
  2. You have to select parent for the corresponding menu from the tree displayed on Create Menu Dialog .
  3. The name of the selected menu will displayed in the Selected Menu text box. You may change the name of the menu.
  4. You can change the position of the menu by clicking on Up and Down buttons.
  5.  You can assign file to corresponding menu by clicking on Attach File to Menu button.(Refer to Assign File to the Menus).
  6. Click on Remove File button to remove assigned file.
  7. You can add sub menu to the exisiting menu by selecting the menu and clicking on Add Sub Menu button.(Refer to Add Child Menu).
  8. You may change the parent for the menu. To change parent Click on Change Parente Menu button. (Refer to Change Parent for Menu)
  9. You can update the menu by selecting the menu, Updating the menu and clicking on Update button.
  10. You can delete the menu by selecting the menu and clicking on Delete button.
  11. Click on Ok button.
